ParkShare

The problem

Parking has two different perspectives: the owner describes a space, while the driver looks for somewhere useful near a destination. A worldwide service also needs location data to behave consistently across places and the experience to work naturally on a phone.

The solution

ParkShare is being developed as a map-based marketplace with distinct owner and driver workspaces. A geospatial database supports the location model, while the installable web application brings the same service to desktop and mobile.

The current work establishes the shared location model and role-based experiences that the developing product depends on.
